Thomas “Tom” Michael Farrell, 60, a 15-year resident of Annapolis, MD, and previously of Hyattsville, MD, died on Thursday, April 16, 2020, in Arlington, VA. Born October 11, 1959, in Washington, DC to the late Thomas A. and Catherine Lucille Farrell, he graduated from Northwestern High School and held an associate’s degree in Drafting. Tom worked for many years as a cabinet maker before his 20-year career, supporting the National Military Command Center, as a hardware technician. He was a devoted husband and father, who loved spending time with his large and extended family. Tom never missed any of his children’s sport or art events. He loved the outdoors, especially the beach, and was a diehard Redskins fan. Tom had a great love for his country and a deep appreciation for all those that serve and protect. He was always happy and willing to share his love of music and craft beers with his many friends. Tom was a longtime member of St. Andrew by the Bay Catholic Church in Annapolis, MD. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Dianne “Lynn” (Liller) Farrell; four children, Thomas Michael and Ryan Farrell, and Tara Ring all of Annapolis, MD, and Samantha Farrell of Pasadena, MD; a sister, Mary Catherine “Cathy” Farrell of Woodbridge, VA; and two grandchildren, Gavin and Cameron.
