My husband and I had the privilege of getting to know Phil as a neighbor. He was a caring and compassionate man who dearly loved his girl, and her family. My husband enjoyed his company and I will never forget Phil's concern about Roy''s health after he had received a diagnosis, and Phil took the time on the spot to pray for and with him. Roy always thought of Phil and kept him in his prayers. They shared a bond of faith. We know Phil is no longer in pain and is in heaven now, rejoicing in his Savior.

John 14: 1-6 gives much hope. 1“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. 2 In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. 4 And you know the way to where I am going.” 5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?” 6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. Later in the passage he said this: "Because I live, you also will live."

We will continue to keep the family in prayer and rejoice in the life God gave Phil and which he has now taken back to himself.

Psalm 116: 8 For you, Lord, have delivered me from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling, 9 that I may walk before the Lord in the land of the living.
