We frequently saw Maria in the back right hand pew at St. Ignatius. About a year or so ago, one Saturday evening she called me over and provided me with a present. She made me a scarf, and she made sure to tell me that it was winter colors. I was amazed that she chose me to wear that gift. I've worn it several times, and I greatly appreciated that she gave it to me. I've attached the photo of the scarf on the main page, and I am also posting it here. Thank you very much, Maria, for your thoughtfulness. It meant a lot to me.

Auntie Mary,
Though I mourn your passing, I rejoice that you are now home with the Lord, with Clemente, and with Max. It must be a wonderful homecoming. I am so grateful that you no longer have to endure the agony you have experienced these last months, linking your suffering to the Lord with great faith and hope. Dios ti ag nina to the auntie you have been to me all my life. I will always remember our time together at the Philippine Chancery where we sat and sang and enjoyed the Istorya evening of Philippine music and song. God love you, Auntie Mary. With love, Amor and family.
