Obituary

On Sunday July 14, 2019 devoted husband of Jennie Thomas and father of Karen Thomas transitioned to his heavenly home. He is survived by brothers, George Jr., Wallace, Harold, and sisters Annie Thomas and Helen Boswell, sisters-in-law Maggie, Ida, Rosa and brothers-in-law Clinton Jr. and Willie James and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at Ebenezer AME Church, 7707 Allentown Road, Ft. Washington, MD on Wednesday, July 24, 2019. Viewing will be held at 10 a.m. and Service at 11 a.m. Interment Fort Lincoln Cemetery.

I was so sorry to hear about the passing of Judge Thomas who I worked for years ago as a young attorney at the Board and who I appeared before on numerous occasions thereafter. He had great compassion for injured workers and a passion for justice; his questioning would always keep you on your toes. His legal legacy lives on in the many decisions he was part of -- his charm and personality were equally memorable. I know he will be greatly missed by family, friends and colleagues. I worked with Willie after graduating law school many years ago. He was a wonderful mentor and I will always remember him fondly. My sincerest condolences to his family.
