John Venuti, 72, a 5-year resident of Crofton and previously of Davidsonville and Harwood, MD, passed away at his home on June 13, 2020. Born on May 14, 1948 in Chester, PA to the late Mariann D. and Samuel P. Venuti, Sr., John earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from Mt. St. Mary’s College and a Juris Doctorate degree in 1973 from the Columbus School of Law at Catholic University. He worked as an attorney specializing in tax law at the accounting firms of Arthur Andersen and KPMG. John was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Davidsonville. He was a passionate father and loved spending time with his six children, volunteering at their various music and sports activities. He was also a loving son, brother and friend.
John is survived by his children, Christopher John (Kristen) Venuti of Baltimore, MD, Nancy (Jake) Lydon of Chesapeake Beach, MD, Theodore S. (Meli) Venuti of Annapolis, MD, Jeremiah L. (Allison) Venuti of Crofton, and Vincent V. and Nicholas R. Venuti, both of Davidsonville; one brother, Samuel Venuti, Jr. of Thorndale, PA; two sisters, Janet Griesbach of Abingdon, VA and Louise Anne Venuti of Aston, PA; two grandsons, William John Venuti and Liam Lydon; two granddaughters, Eleanore Grace Venuti and Leila Lydon; and a large extended family. John touched many lives and will be forever remembered, loved and missed.
