I met Fred during a Heritage Harbour movie night at the Lodge a year or more ago. We started talking and it turned out that he and Carson had built the house we bought on Patterson St. off Finn's Lane. We stayed there about five years and bought a split level house on Newberry Lane off Good Luck Road where we stayed for 15 years until moving to the South Haven community behind Heritage Harbour. We loved that house and often said we would like to pick it up and move it to Anne Arundel County. I agreed with Fred when he said they were good houses. Yes, they were except the one on Patterson St, had a very leaky basement ankle deep and Mr. Carson complained about spending a lot to fix it. He tried several ways which I said he was nickel and diming it and should have fixed it right the first time. But we loved both houses especially the split level - a lot of house for the money. My parents bought a rambler from Carson and Greene farther down on Newberry Lane and they, too, loved it. I am so sorry to hear of Fred's passing. I did not know him personally but I am sure he will be missed. We had a good conversation that evening,

Fred always had a wonderful story to tell. Most times they were funny, and less often they were sad. He enjoyed talking about his wonderful family and how much he loved to spend time with them. Fred had a very gracious and kind heart. Along with so many others I will miss him.
