Chochi Fran, my godmother, my mom's sister, my instant thought when it comes to laughter. After hearing of her passing, a few days later, I sat in my living room. It was a quiet evening and I thought of my Chochi Fran. The tears came profusely, but not long after, smiles overcame those tears. The memories of visits to our home in Nanticoke, especially on Easter, the camping trips to Moon Lake, the talks we had as I sat on those kitchen steps. Oh, and that Mynah bird mimicking her contagious laugh. These are some of the moments that I'll always remember that will continue to make me smile!! I admire her for her tenacity and the way she took care of herself as she entered her senior years..….Grabbing life and enjoying every moment!! Kocham cie Chochi Fran, you will always be in my heart!
