Erma G. Pinkney, 78, a resident of Davidsonville, MD for forty-five years and formerly of Annapolis, MD, died on Thursday, April 9 at the Anne Arundel Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Born on January 20, 1942 in Annapolis to the late Oliver and Emma Lane, Erma was a graduate of Bates High School in Annapolis. She was a clerical worker at the University of Maryland in College Park and was a member of the House of Prayer in Sudley, MD, the Lighthouse Church in Annapolis and the Bible Way. Erma enjoyed singing, interior design, giving to others and she loved to clean. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Frederick Pinkney; her children, Lisa Pinkney of Davidsonville, MD and Patrick (Bernadette) Pinkney of Manson, NC; her sisters, Shirley Jones and Sylvin Hutton both of Annapolis, MD; and her grandchildren, David Wayne Stover, Ashley Danielle Pinkney, Christopher Bowers, Deonne Adrian Earl Pinkney, and Lyndsey Amstead. Erma was preceded in death by her daughter, Michelle Pinkney and her sisters, Joan Lane and Caroline Brown. Due to the corona virus restrictions, funeral services will be private.
