Carl “Dave” David Noren, 71, a 25-year resident of Crofton, MD, and previously of Budd Lake, NJ, died on June 28, 2020, following an eight-month illness. Born February 5, 1949 in Summit, NJ to the late Carl and Eleanor Noren, he graduated from Kean University with a bachelor of arts degree in History and a teaching certificate.
After a year of teaching, Dave joined Bell Atlantic (Verizon), retiring from there as an IT Architect Manager, developing code for the Human Resources and Payroll departments. He was a longtime member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Davidsonville, MD. Dave loved traveling and fine dining with his wife, Nancy. He also enjoyed boating, classic cars, and was an avid Nationals and Redskins fan.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy; his children, Matthew Noren of Cape May, NJ, Cara (Patrick) Giligan of Mendham, NJ, Michelle (Tom) Scholfield of Medford, MA, Kathleen (Danny) Carlson of Salem, UT, Suzanne (Peter) Kyre of Port Charlotte, FL, Christine (Ron) Clark of Naples, FL; and Wendy (Chris) Benson of Raleigh, NC; and two siblings, William “Bill” Noren of Annandale, NJ and Carlyn “Sue” Samson of Collyville, TX; 16 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Holy Family Catholic Church, 826 W. Central Ave., Davidsonville, MD on Tuesday, July 7 at 1 pm. Interment will immediately follow the Mass at Lakemont Memorial Gardens, Davidsonville, MD.
