She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Johnson, son, Bruce Johnson and grandson, Timothy Johnson and other relatives and friends. Services and internment at St. John's Episcopal Church - Broad Creek, 9801 Livingston Rd., Fort Washington, MD 20744, on Saturday, June 16 at 12:30 pm.
Born on January 7, 1924 in Washington, DC, and later residing in Fort Washington, MD. She was a descendent of the nation's earliest colonial settlers and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Harmony Hall Chapter. Her tributes included regional beauty pageant awards in her youth and being selected as the prettiest farm girl in Prince Georges County at the Maryland State Fair. She graduated from Surrattsville High School in Clinton, MD. Outgoing throughout her life, her diverse endeavors included being a model, Presbyterian Church deacon, loving mother and prior joint owner of GI Market and Liquors in Suitland, MD, a family-run business establishment.
