Life Legacy


Mildred “Millie” Miller, 86, an 8-year resident of Sunrise of Annapolis and previously of Delaware died on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at Anne Arundel Medical Center of heart failure after a 2 week illness.

Born December 12, 1924 in Long Beach Island, NJ, she graduated from Barnegat High School in Barnegat, NJ. Millie worked as a secretary at the Department of Justice. She enjoyed sewing and doing crossword puzzles.

Mille was the beloved wife of the late Leo S. Miller, whom she married in 1945 and who died on October 14, 1984; mother of Michael Miller of Las Vegas, NV and Carol Fitzgerald of Dunkirk, MD; sister of Carrie Rasyn of NJ.

Friends are invited to Millie’s Life Celebration at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD on Wednesday, October 26 from 6 to 8pm, with a wake service at 6:45pm. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 27 at 11am at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, 11301 Crain Highway, Cheltenham MD.
