Life Legacy

Lynn R. Kleinfelder, a 5 year resident of Bowie, MD and formerly of Annapolis, MD and Hopewell Junction, NY, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2009 at Prince George’s Hospital Center in Cheverly, MD at age 67 of natural causes. Lynn was born on December 28, 1941 in Englewood, NJ and was a 1960 graduate of Westwood Regional High School. She was a homemaker most of her life but also worked as an administrative assistant with the Dutchess County Council for the Boy Scouts of America. She loved and doted on her two grandsons as well as her two cats, Robinhood and Maid Marion. Lynn was of the Lutheran faith and she enjoyed watching CNN, reading, gardening, playing the piano, watching football, community involvement, weaving baskets, playing mahjongg and following politics. Lynn loved all animals but her passion was caring for stray cats. She is survived by her husband, Walter J. Kleinfelder of Annapolis, MD whom she married on September 16, 1961; two sons, Walter (Flip) Kleinfelder and his wife, Linda of Manassas, VA and Michael Kleinfelder and his companion Bethany King of Aberdeen, MD; a brother, John Rowan of Florida and 2 grandsons, Dean and Andrew Kleinfelder both of Manassas, VA. Friends are invited to Lynn’s Life Celebration at the GEORGE P. KALAS FUNERAL HOME, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD on Friday, September 11 from 4:00pm until memorial service begins at 6:00pm. Interment private.
