Life Legacy


Gene Hong Lee, a 13 year resident of Annapolis and previously of Cheverly, died on July 6, 2013 at his residence from complications of Parkinson’s disease.

Gene, who was born January 31, 1923 in China, served in the US Navy during World War II. Gene loved fishing, gardening and being an artist.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years Wai Kom; four children, Dr. Albert Lee of Annapolis, Florence Chan of New York City, NY, Faye Kemon of Naples, FL and Carlene Lee of Greenbelt; 6 grandchildren Andrew and Matthew Lee of Annapolis, David Chan of Philadelphia, PA, Paul Seto of Elkridge, Timothy Seto of Parkville, and Stephanie Chan of New York City, NY.

Friends are invited to Gene’s Life Celebration from 6 – 8 PM on Saturday July 13 at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd. Edgewater and from 2pm until a funeral service begins at 3pm on Sunday, July 14 at Riva Trace Baptist Church, 475 West Central Ave. Davidsonville, MD 21035

Interment will follow at Lakemont Memorial Gardens, Davidsonville.
